Exceptional theatre requires an exceptional team. We are fortunate to work with some of Aotearoa’s finest arts practitioners and organisations that recognise the value of Cubbin’s work.
Mark is best known in the theatre world for his set designs for arts companies all over Australasia. Mark has represented New Zealand in the Prague Quadrennial of Scenography and Theatre Architecture 1999, 2004 and 2007.
Mark is currently working on projects with Showbiz Christchurch, Tawata Productions and Juanita Hepi on the Tumahana project in collaboration with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
Currently Mark is a Programme Leader in the Bachelor of Design, Ara. He has just finished his Masters in Creative Practice.
Mark is particularly excited about working with Cubbin Theatre. Being a father and a grandfather he knows that value of storytelling and movement for our moko.
Steph Walker is a creative producer and programmer with a penchant for festivals, contemporary performance and site-specific work across all artforms and is currently Head of Programming at Auckland Arts Festival.
Steph has built a reputation as a pragmatic connector and enabler with recent roles at the Adelaide Festival and as General Manager & Assistant Director at the Christchurch Arts Festival. She holds her Masters in Arts Management with Distinction from the University of Greenwich (UK).
With thanks to Creative New Zealand, Cubbin has been lucky enough to be working with Steph in 2020 to help form a business plan and strategy for the company for the next 5 years.
Amy van Luijk is a wonderful artist and designer of many disciplines. Amy creates work for publishing and product and has collaborated with companies to create collections of products for interiors and textiles as well as being commissioned to create illustrations for books, animation and editorial pieces.
Amy’s clients include: TeNeues, Hodder & Stoughton, Crate & Barrel, Flow magazine, Land of Nod, Meri Meri, Riddle & Squizz, Martha Stewart Living, Grand Central Publishing, Simple Magazine and Nature Baby.

Juliet has been with us since the very start, with our first season of Up and Away in 2018. She has since toured with us around New Zealand and next up will be operating our Play Play season in November. Juliet is in her second year of study at the University of Canterbury, working towards a double major commerce degree. With a passion for supporting and working in theatre and events, she has worked in stage management over the years at the Court Theatre, World Buskers Festival and Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park. This is Juliet’s fourth season with Cubbin and she’s excited to rejoin the fun to bring some magic to Christchurch and Auckland in November.
Todd is a graphic designer, illustrator and mega fishing nerd. Todd has been helping people get their message out with shapes, colours and letters for 5 or so years and has worked with some cool crew, namely the Blink Boys and on various TV shows. He specialises in identity design — helping brands to be heard amongst the noise.

Two Productions (Holly Chappell-Eason and Tom Eason) are a theatre company making innovative, original works from their base in Christchurch’s the Arts Centre. They’re on a mission to grow and foster the theatre scene in Christchurch. Their vision is to see Christchurch become an internationally recognised city for innovative theatre and believe that to do this Christchurch needs to continue to develop its own cultural voice. To achieve this, starts with collaboration and sharing ideas.

Naomi Haussmann is a photographer based in Otautahi.
Her creative eye has taken her around the world, and these rich experiences abroad have shaped her storytelling ability.
Naomi has worked with many of Aotearoa’s musicians, chefs, winemakers and fashion designers and theatre makers.
